Sri Dalada Maligawa
Kandy's primary tourist attraction and one of the holiest Buddhist shrines in the world, the "Dalada Maligawa" or the Temple of the Tooth Relic, is the heart of Kandy's culture, religious life and age-old traditions. First built in the 15th century, and expanded by successive kings, it is a masterpiece of traditional Kandyan art and architecture. In July/August every year, the tooth relic of the Buddha that is enshrined here is paraded through the city streets in a magnificent procession featuring traditional drummers, dancers and caparisoned elephants.

Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is an ancient palace located in the Matale District, Sri Lanka.
